Well, of course what OP meant was "carbon pollution" as a term of art.

Sort of like "carbon footprint."  Carbon doesn't have feet.

Actually the OP was simply mimicking the language the AGW people use regarding carbon cost and carbon credits, but leave it to APS to dissect it and take it into the weeds.
