HUGE graffiti project - an inside look.
« on: October 24, 2017, 03:21:20 PM »
So, as I was driving to work yesterday morning about 6:30 A.M., I turned the corner and right there was a very big graffiti project going up. Didn't have a chance to get a decent look at it, but I could see the words "Vegas Strong" on it.  And by it being the size it was, I figured they had permission from the homeowners on the other side of the wall.  Hence, I did not call the graffiti hotline. I drove by it on the way home.  There was a bit of a crowd there looking at the mural, people taking pictures.  Didn't take much digging to find the artist's FB page.

Note, I heartily do NOT approve of random taggers "beautifying" other peoples' property without their okay.  But, that's not the case here. And the subject matter strikes close to home.

Interesting look at the logistics, planning and support this took.  And the people involved.

Indeed, that is likely a mural rather than graffiti.

How about I call it a "graffiti-style mural"?
Wyze gyz.

If you looked at his FB page, you'll note the cops were treating it more as graffiti until were satisfied the residents had given their okay.  First impressions and all that.

Sheesh!  Give a guy a break.  In the OP I did refer to it as a mural.  Cherry picking?
