"A FORMER Scottish police chief has given lawyers a signed statement claiming that key evidence in the Lockerbie bombing trial was fabricated.

The retired officer - of assistant chief constable rank or higher - has testified that the CIA planted the tiny fragment of circuit board crucial in convicting a Libyan for the 1989 mass murder of 270 people."

I think it is more a case of your knee-jerk anti-authority showing.

You have an anonymous former police officer maybe giving a signed statement to defense attorneys about this.  If he had been aware of fabricating evidence he would have been duty bound to report it.  Why didnt he report then?  Why is he doing so now?  Is there really any "there" there?  Where's the beef?

Well a German newspaper said that Hurricane Katrina should be a warning to the US about global warming.

Pure horse hockey, we are just in middle of a big hurrican cycle. The last one ran from early 50's and ended in the late 60's. Probably peter out in 2015 or so. Seems to run a 20 year cycle between calm and crazy. Weather science folks figure this current one started in the mid to late 90's and we just have lucky except for the past 12-14 months with the amount of big storms to come.

It's probably true; after all, all these hurricanes these last few years are part of a CIA plot that Bush authorized, right?  Katrina just proves they're getting better at it.

Or was it the TriLateral Commission?
