“One of the most dangerous times for a domestic violence victim is in the first few days after they seek to take action to leave the perpetrator of that domestic violence. This would give them one more option to be able to purchase something that if they felt threatened, to protect themselves,” Walker said.

The 48 hr waiting period in our state has always been absurd- it makes it very difficult to buy a handgun you might find in a shop 150 miles away if you are on a road trip. The passage of CCW in our state has made the law look rediculous to a lot more people... example- the guy who is CCWing a .45 while purchasing a Ruger Single-Six needs to come back in 2 days to pay for it and pick it up- for public safety.
