Venezuela's "economic miracle"...
This is a pretty good article that lays out just how the Venezuelan miracle turned into the nightmare that it is today.

I'd be really interested in seeing what his observations are now, because as the article above clearly lays out, by 2013 Venezuela's economy was already on the bring of collapse and it was only time lag that making it look rosy. Or course, he's never said another word about Venezuela, from what I've been able to tell. He's just gone on to bounce around and support increasingly leftist politicians in the United States...
And yet, despite the clear evidence that Chavez's socialist policies and dictatorial actions were the root cause of what is happening in Venezuela today, you can still, with a quick google search, pull up many articles defending Chavez's policies and trying very hard to place blame elsewhere... (COUGH UNITED STATES COUGH!)
Is it any wonder that Trump won BIG with hispanics in Florida, many of whom are Cuban and Venezuelan expats?
