« on: May 05, 2011, 08:59:41 AM »
Is a popular dish in Sweden and Finland, and is by tradition primarily consumed during the fishing season in August. The boi s typically flavored with salt, sugar, ale, and large quantities of the flowers of the dill plant. While most Americans eat them warm[ 19] the Swedish and Finnish normally eat them cold.

No. Silly hats seems to be mandatory though. And alcohol. Lots and lots of it. Personally, I don't eat the things. Looks too much like insects to me. Smells awful as well.

I love boiled crawfish. Raw? Not so much.

It's a lot of work to get a decent amount of meat, though. It takes about 9-12 pounds of whole crawfish to get a pound of meat. That's a lot of peeling.

Not appealing.

Ew. Mudbugs should be hot, and have so much slap yo mama on them that you cry with each bite.

Dood.  You have to send me some Slap Yo Mama.  We had that on roasted corn* at the Mobile Flea Market when we were down there in April.  Good stuff.

*A vendor was selling corn on the cob, roasted on site, with the husk pulled back to form a handle.  They would dip it in melted butter and offered a table full of stuff you could put on it (salt, pepper, various rubs, spices, etc).

Edit to add: I'm talking about the rub, not the hot sauce, http://www.slapyamama.com/kitchen.php
