I didn't care for her husband at all, and I was luke warm on Dubya, but Barbara was a class act all the way.

She was, by all accounts, the real deal. What you saw was what you got. Nothing but charm, class, and dignity from a benevolent nurturer.
RIP, Good Lady.

Roger Stone was apparently no fan either.
Barbara Bush was a vindictive, entitled, mean spirited woman. May she rest in peace
:O

I always get this guy mixed up with Roger Simon, who is not a jerk.

Gotta wonder if the grave-dancing is sometimes just a publicity stunt. Makes them hate-famous.

One Christmas Eve at a bit past 2400 I was the poor soul walking the footbeat on the White House sidewalk during the midnight relief.
I was sitting in the A-4 Gate bs-ing with some USSS friends.
Walking down the path is Mrs. Bush carrying a plate of cookies and a carafe of coffee. She said that she appreciated our efforts for her family and thought we would like some cookies.
The USSS guys said that she baked them, didn't fake that, and she was the real deal.
Mrs. Bush, some may hate you, but my few interactions with you were good. Godspeed.
BTW, she was a dog person, so there's that......
