The scariest moments I've had behind the wheel have not been from EtOH, stress or what have you in the days of youthfull idiocy.  It has been from a chronic lack of sleep when I'm fighting to stay awake and the road ahead looks like a Salvador Dali painting.

Same here.  I've had to learn to just pull over and get a power nap.

Same here.  I've had to learn to just pull over and get a power nap.

I believe that driving while sleepy is in many cases worse than driving after a few.  But many states are making it illegal to sleep in rest stops, or in your car......

Indicating that this whole DUI thing is more about control/politics than actually helping people.

last night I went out for my anniversary, with a fairly nasty cold and probably a mild fever. I'm positive I was more impaired than I would have been healthy with a .08BAC. I drove a bit more carefully than usual.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.
