What a gal needs for a birthday present
« on: June 23, 2010, 03:27:52 AM »
Inor came home a couple weeks ago, holding a bag. It was six days before my birthday. He said he had to get my birthday present early, because the shop would have sold it if he didn't pick it up. So I am now the proud owner of a S&W .38 special. But wait - I was looking it over and discovered it has the hand grip laser sight. I love it. A couple days later Inor took me out to get a holster (we ended up getting two) and then to lunch at the new Toby Keith restaurant. What a perfect birthday! What a guy!

Sounds like you have two keepers (gun and husband)!

I have a little Taurus 85 and a Ruger GP100. The Taurus is a "knock off" of a S&W J frame.

Running through a couple boxes of 38 special is a great way to spend some time at the range.

Happy Birthday!
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Smart move buying multiple holsters fo the same weapon.

I have drifted to getting three concealed carry holsters per carry weapon:
IWB: VM2 or knockoff for heavy/large CCWs, Summer Special or knockoff for light CCWs
OWB: Usually a high-rise or pancake
Shoulder: Galco MCII for most, VHS for 4"bbl revos.

Pocket carry is similar, as pockets are different.  So, I have about 5 pocket carry holsters total for all my pocket-carry-able CCWs (about 5 CCWs).  UM 1, 2, 3, 4 & a galco horsehide for the Walther PPK.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
