Looks like the must carry proof of training is still in it but it's a win nonetheless.

You had it right the first time.

Score, I was wondering if this passed the Senate or not.  The legislative status site has no mention of anything past last week on this bill.

Looks like NH and Utah also have legs on their bills.

If four Con Carry bills pass this year friends, they may think it's a movement...

What we need, is two or three states with this, on Illinois' borders.

I hope Missouri can help you out with that. How do you think that would affect Illinois?

It's almost ConCarry, but still an excellent step.

So if four states do this this year would that be seven total?

I see that you only have to be 18 to carry too. That's better than the other states with Constitutional Carry.

Congrats Montana! I had faith in you all along. And Welcome!

Actually, Chicago would probably blame its problems on you-all.

Finally. Also, it's been 18+ for carry here in MT for a long time. Plenty of 18 year olds have permits, too, at least from my experience. :)

Need to add that to my list of AK improvements. OC is 16 but CC is 21.

Having you 18 year states in the club should give our pro-gun legislators some ammo. That and the Texas suit.

Does anyone have any confirmation that this got past the senate besides the Montana hunting link?  There is nothing in the news and the MT legislature site still has nothing about the Senate hearing.

Edit:  I've been digging around and it was not on the Senate agenda yesterday or today, and is not listed for tomorrow.

41magsnub, I'm finding the same... no word officially save for that one link. Time will tell, but here's hoping, eh? :)

Its official..  False start.  5 yard penalty.  Still first down.

The senate schedule only covers through tomorrow morning.  It may end up on the schedule tomorrow afternoon.  I'm sure it will pass the Senate, they voted on this in pretty much the same form it is in now before the house sent it back to committee.

So was Marbut going on what he was told would happen?

Dunno, the link in the OP however is from the Senate reading of the bill last month on the amendments out of the Judiciary committee before it went back to the house.  Following that the house did not like the amendments and it went into committee, the house already voted on the committee report and what we are still waiting on is the senate to vote on the same.

That was supposed to have been voted on Monday based on the last notice I saw, but that has not happened yet.

I heard that the Senate would only approve if there was a special exemption for Judge-owners. With a gun that good, they don't need training.

That is a valid take on what I wrote.  Let's just leave it there.  =D
