Title: Bad time for the portrait, F&$”n Ow!
Post by: Kingcreek on December 31, 2021, 04:25:37 AM
Ow, Ow, F’n Ow!
Snow filled shop rag makes a great compress but the not recommended part was the face plant on a concrete wall brace.
Had the rest of my 30 tons of rock delivered yesterday and he dropped it not quite where I wanted it. Because of the snowmageedon forecast for Saturday I needed to drop my box blade and get the angle rear blade on the tractor. The rock pile is in my way so I had to wrestle the blade some to get a hook up.
Slipped and tripped and went down hard.
My formerly movie star handsome nose is broken and about 2x normal
size and much of the skin is gone. Probably 2 black eyes.
Happy new year!

Ouch!

I hope they gave you good pain meds or else you're taking your whiskey meds!

Heal up soon!

No meds and just taking care of it myself.
I broke my nose in my youth and my grandpa set it. Worked as a bouncer in college and years of martial arts without further injury to my face until now.
Today my nose isn’t that painful but my head and neck and arms ache more.

My reading glasses no longer slip down my nose.
Swelling scrapes and bruising from my eyebrows to my upper lip.
Thought about having the wife take me to ER or prompt care at one point today because I was getting left eye flashes like sparks at times (thinking retina issues) but that’s been ok. I can now breath through both nostrils. Yay! My wife said I snored like a beast from hell last night.
I’ll heal.
