Maybe it's because I can't remember ever NOT having to show ID to vote, but I just can't comprehend why anyone would object to being asked to prove who they are when voting. Unless, of course, they aren't who they claim to be.
If I had to be at work early in the day and I showed up at the polling place at 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. and was turned away because "I" already voted ... I'd be more than a little upset.
