In a lot of the SciFi stories, they mention weather control as a thing of the future.  Wouldn't it be a pretty boring world to live in with all the weather controlled?

Right up until something broke.  grin Think of all that stored and managed energy suddenly released into a previously controlled system.

The tree planting is really a non-solution. Trees don't live forever and when they die they decompose and produce carbon dioxide and methane, or I should say they re-release these naturally occurring chemicals. That is only for trees that don't end up being burned in my wood burnig stove for heat that also produces carbon dioxide. I don't think carbon dioxide is the real problem, just the specific carbon dioxide coming out of the noses of leftists. If only I could meter the leftist waste of oxygen and tax it for my benefit!

If the discussion is about the limited resourses for oil and coal, that is another discussion entirely. Fortunately there is still solar, wind, hydro and nuclear (or nuculur for GWB).
