Got a dinner party with friends tomorrow night, I was told I was in charge of dessert, so I am going to make a Bourbon Butter Cake in my church Bundt pan. If it turns out I will post the recipe I used.

It was awesome.

Looks good. Thanks for posting. Do you think Canadian whisky would work? I have a lot of that but no bourbon right now.
How about brandy or dark rum? (it would probably be a totally different cake with rum or brandy, but do you think it would be good?)

Im thinking that would be good with Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Whiskey.

Or the Crown Royal Maple flavor.
Edited to add: Never mind on the maple, Crown discontinued it. They do have a salted caramel though...

I used Canadian whisky, it came out awesome. Whatever booze you use, make sure it has flavor. Vodka and white rum probably wouldn't be that great.

I have Kirkland Canadian, and Gosling's black seal rum (both 80 and 151). I think either the Kirkland or the 80-proof rum ought to work.

I need to make this again. This time with a cheap bourbon like 10 High.
