Title: Puerto Rico's Largest Paper Blames 'the Jew' for lack of aid

Wow

I can't say I'm familiar enough to know if this is the norm or an aberration, but it does make me think about that quote of being two meals from revolution.  When there is a lot of anger (meaning people are thinking even less than usual and far more willing to act then normal) there are plenty of folks ready and willing to try and direct it to any end that suits their purpose.

And just some random inquiry; wondering how many jewish folk are actually there.  Wiki says 3k, largest population in the Caribbean; but still primarily enclaved.  And 3k out of about 3.5 mil is still very much a minority.

If they want statehood, I think they're going about it the wrong way. In lots of ways.

Both links work from my end.  Perhaps your Arkangel censor is acting up.   =)

Tying into the Flu Thread...

I worked for a company that had a plant in P.R.  Why you ask ??  No Taxes.  But what we saved in taxes was made up for in Headaches.   Finding people to work, finding people to work who didn't rob the place blind, finding people to work who weren't constantly filing worker's comp claims and other "free money" schemes/scams on the company.   Eventually we closed the P.R. plant and transferred everything back to various mainland US plants.  What we made in tax savings was eaten up (and then some) in dealing with all the Bushwa.

The "No Taxes" is the only reason why Saline bags are made in P.R.  But even then, there have been problems with those, and often manufacturers import folks from the mainland to work in the factories there.   While the island is beautiful (in places and for certain values of "beautiful"), they tell horror stories of the workforce...

I have mentioned my very liberal friend before, who after spending time working in PR, changed, or at least moderated, many of her views on socialism and the handout culture because the failure of these things is so prevalent in PR. Not in the Venezuela SHTF way, but in the, "These people are too irritating to handle. How does anyone get anything done?" way.

Is it that one particular Jew that the alt-right and other folks keep going on about? Because if can just stop that guy maybe we can get a handle on the world's problems.

As far as I'm concerned, they're going about it just as I'd like them to. They're showing us why we really REALLY don't want them as a state.

It's not just in PR, but other parts of the Caribbean as well. An old high school friend of mine attended medical school in the Dominican Republic. He experienced an attitude adjustment too - in the course of a few months it changed from "We have to help these poor people" to "These <expletive> lazy shiftless <expletives> are too <expletive> lazy to breathe! Lazy bums! Just a bunch of <new expletive he coined by combining two different racial pejoratives.>"

The government had that too, they called it Naval Station Roosevelt Roads. I am not sure anything naval ever got done there, but if you gave a PR sailor the choice between lunch with Jesus and PCS orders to Rosy , well, looks like Jesus dines alone. I served with probably thirty different nationalities in the service. Can't think of a Puerto Rican I miss much.

I know one guy who grew up there.  He said his parents made sure he was born in Florida as apparently the record keeping in PR is bad.  I think he went to private school.  He was a college athlete in swimming and graduated in engineering.  Hard working guy.  His parents are fairly successful and live in Florida now.  Sounds like his family might be an exception.

Possibly part of the problem with PR.  Those with motivation and willing to work hard get the hell out, leaving mostly the lazy bums.

Not that I get a vote, but I vote to cut PR loose.  Let them fix themselves.

Easier to blame Jews than face up to your own corrupt government. Jews screw up Palestine, Jews were the down fall of Venezuela, etc etc.  Funny how the literally Hitler crowd will sing along with actual proto Hitler's like the BDS crowd.
