Washington has banned the open carry of firearms at the Capitol and at and within 250' of permitted rallies.
I guess the Capitol ban is something expected, but the part of "at and around" rallies appears problematic. Especially the part where they say firearms in vehicles are included. Lots of "innocent person at the wrong place at the wrong time" potential there.

Side note: If you watch the video, it's about AZ becoming a Second Amendment Sanctuary. I appreciate the (pro) argument the interviewed lawmaker made, but I do wish she had been briefed regarding the term "assault weapon".

This should rapidly be passed in the House and then signed by the Governor. This is why we can't have nice things.

Dupes merged.

I imagine this will eventually lead to a statewide ban on open carry, with perhaps an exception for hunters.

^^^Which would be the shi*ts, since we only recently have been able to educate most of the state law enforcement community that open carry is legal in Washington.
