They are just pouring out of the ground:

Termites?  I've seen those before when I lived in AZ or CO IIRC.

True, but can be quite distressing when the local ant colonies chose the same day to take flight that you've chose to repaint your car in the open air, as my former BroInLaw discovered years ago.

Another link w/photos and video that looks like the problem I had inside the house during early Spring for several years. Generous use of indoor/outdoor spray around the baseboards and a couple of treatments with foggers in all rooms and in the upper and lower crawlspaces finally killed them off. I hope.
