Steam TF2 free weekend
« on: June 10, 2010, 06:30:35 PM »
I'm probably the only person who doesn't own this game by now, but it's free til the 13th.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

If you watch any of the really early episodes of the Porter Waggoner show she was in (1967) it's very clear that he was well endowed.

It's one of the most popular games in the world right now.  All (four) of my friends love it.  I've played it a few times on other peoples' computers and haven't cared for it.  Gotta try it on my own machine at least once.
It's also $9.99 til the 13th.  50% off.

  • It's not the years, it's the mileage.

Whatever happened to going outside with a bunch of friends, a cooler full of Gatorade, and a bunch of paintball/ airsoft guns?  =(

What makes you think I/we don't do that?

Hilarious promo video.  =D  Just a bit of a rip-off of The Incredibles.

Only games I have are for Xbox; I don't think this PC can handle much gaming.

I don't play multiplayer games online except for Rainbow 6 games.  Just running around shooting in a game full of 13 year old British kids with no sense of tactics doesn't appeal to me in the least.

It's a very team and co-operative oriented game, but it is bunny hopping and non stop running.  I really don't like arcade games at all.
You should look into Project Reality.

How are the other online players?  I mean that certain games seem to attract certain types.  For as much as I like the single player campaigns of both the Halo series and Modern Warfare, I can't stand playing them online.  It's just run and shoot, with a lot of campers intermixed as well.  Rainbow 6, specifically Vegas and Vegas 2, are the only multiplayer games so far where I've run into other players who understand and appreciate things like bounding over-watch, cutting the pie, room entry, and team commands.  I've played a few Vegas 2 matches that are about as close to the same kind of training I do in the Army as I can imagine.  I like that kid of stuff.  Just running around and shooting while hearing little kids screaming in your headset is just not fun.

Which video ripped off the Incredibles?
This one: http://store.steampowered.com/video/440

Starts off with "Intruder Alert.  Red Spy in Base," in case that link isn't to one trailer.

The music sounds like The Incredibles.

blah blah
In Project Reality it's amazing.  6 people per squad and 90% of the time I've had 5 other people that were actually trying and knew what they were doing.  It's even better when you get a squad leader with actual squad leading experience.
To be honest, I've always considered the Rainbow 6 series terrible.  I'd rather play Counter Strike.
PR is probably the most realistic FPS out there today.  Battlefield 2 is around $20 and is on Steam, the mod itself is free.
The music sounds like The Incredibles.
The music in both are inspired by 60s spy and action movies (Evil Genius is another game that has some great music that is similar).

Ah, here's the thing though, I don't play PC games at all.  Only consoles.  I gave up on trying to keep my computer up to date for the next game about 10 years ago.  Buying a new console every 5-7 years is much easier than  a new video card or new ram every year or less.  Not to mention I find console controllers much more intuitive than a mouse and keyboard.
