Shouldn't have spent the money, but this is one overbudget item I feel good about.
Ballistic nylon, hardshell knee caps, some more armor on the sides. Very tactical, probably useful in a butt-kicking.
Actually, motorcycle pants. The rain liner seems to keep out some cold wind, too. Worth the $40, I think.
