Even better when it appears a couple of rounds went into an existing hole. 

Like to see how well it holds up to full auto.

Most demonstrations I have ever seen for bullet proof stuff and vests were very specific about the ammo they tested with.  Especially vests.  You almost never see tests of bullet proof vests with various calibers.

Given the average accuracy of full auto?  Probably better than it stood up to the careful semi-auto fire.  A better test might be moving up to .308/.30-06 in AP or a .50BMG.

I figure they were careful that the only part they'd need to replace was the windshield.

True enough.  I mentioned the Garand because the test reminded me of a (possibly apocryphal) tale of G.I.s who had captured a Nazi staff car late in WWII.  They found (through carefully monitored destructive testing  ;)) that the bullet-resistant glass in the car would stop .30-06 M2 ball but not AP.
