Where the hell did this guy come from and are people from SC really that gullible and stupid??
I could see the Huckster take SC easily. I expected Thompson to walk away with an easy win. Romney was even preferable and within the realm of possibility, but MCCAIN??
Your thoughts??
-
The knowledge of political realities for most people is about an inch deep. Unfortunately, a lot of those people have the power of suffrage. They believe what the MSM want them to believe, not realizing that McCain is just Hillary with a different stripe of victimhood and much of the same leftist views.
-
SC apparently has the highest percentage of military voters, according to news. McCain is a POW. I think it is as simple as that.
-
And Kerry had like a dozen or so Purple Hearts and it didn't help him...
I'm just baffled.
-
Ron Paul did get the most veterans to support him. I found that interesting.
-
how do they determine that? exit polls?
-
McKodos has many superficial things going on for him: POW, old, experienced, a sly fox that knows which chords to strike with which of the gullible. He is just as statist as Hillary, but tends to humble himself talking about how old and war-scarred he is, currying pity with the stupid that cannot see through the veil and realize that he is anything but humble.
All that being said, the electorate should know better.
-
I respect McCain for what he did for our country and the awful things that happened to him, and his ability to bounce back from that. It shows an amazingly strong force of will. SC does have a lot of military people who appreciate that kind of person.
He also resonates a little with a lot of people who would not vote for one of the other Rep candidates but don't want to vote Dem and get the worst of all possible worlds, so they voted for the lesser of the evils they had available to them in their own minds.
-
I have heard radio talkers say that McCain is a very savvy and skilled politician. I agree with that. If you want someone in that office who has the ability to get things done, he is probably a good candidate. My concern is that I am not 100% sure what he would do on some issues.
-
Yes, he'll get things done: things like McCain-Feingold and McCain-Kennedy.
Beware.
-
Also, the lower part of the state is left-leaning, even if they don't vote Democrat. And that part of the state had better weather, anyway.
I am pleased to note that Guiliani finished dead last
He did have that scumbag Graham at on his side. Methinks Graham is kissin' up for a VP seat. He's certainly not electable in SC. I figured that Graham's seal of approval would have been the kiss of death here in SC.
-
This is just so depressing. Getting away from that prick was one of the many good things about leaving AZ. The idea that he's a viable POTUS candidate is revolting. If he's the 'Pubbie nominee I'll most definitely be throwing my vote away this year.
-
I am pleased to note that Guiliani finished dead last
Roger that. He's the last sleazebag we want in the Whitehouse.
-
Roger that. He's the last sleazebag we want in the Whitehouse.
Now, has he won a single primary yet? I'm just curious, but I predict/hope that he will drop out soon...
-
I could get behind Romney if he put out a vow to go 100% pro RKBA, and hands off on anything anti 2A.
-
Roger that. He's the last sleazebag we want in the Whitehouse.

Michigan and South Carolina.
Not my idea of someone I could vote for. At this point I'm still a Ron Paul kinda guy.
-
how do they determine that? exit polls?
Donations from veterans. He has more veterans supporting him with donations than any other candidate.
-
so how do they track the money? and who does it?
-
Michigan and South Carolina.
I was talking about Guiliani, Scott.
I know all too well that McCain won SC. I live in SC...
-
so how do they track the money? and who does it?
I dont believe they tracked the total amount of money from veterans, just the number of veterans who donated. I will try to find more today and post information later.

Actually he got the most for any GOP candidate. Overall Obama got the most votes.
