Man some of the threads lately.  Don't you people have better things to do like a job or family?  But if anyone actually cares mine is the best so there. Now where is the stick out your tounge smiley?
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

<----------I'll vote for a decendant of JMB's wonderfullest creation, the 1911.

It is what all other pistols want to be when they grow up.

Eleven Mike:
In truth, I can not support a tanklet RPG-magnet as the best avatar.  Maybe you'd pull it off if it was a pic of an Abrams.  Nothing personal, but I always got the willies from the very idea of driving around in such a target.

jfruser, I agree completely, but my Bradley picture just looks cool, regardless of its actual utility.  Deal.

I like 1911s, too, but I wouldn't put your avatar in the top ten because I don't like the picture very much.  Shiny 1911s are ungood.

Can't beat my avatar.  Got the 3 things that mean good things. First you got me which is the best, then you got my black machete, and then the Mexican flag.  Cool huh? Cheesy

mod browning, my avatar has a much better tag line beneath it.  Deal.

Gewehr, what flag is that?  Looks awfully darn German, but what era or principality?

fistful:

It is one of the flags of the German Empire.  My paternal grandmother's grandfather killed Frenchmen & Austrians under that flag.  He did not leave me a flag, only a French ceremonial sword and a bayonet captured off some unlucky Frenchmen.

There was no love lost or pining for Germany by my ancestors.  They bitterly resented being yanked off their farms in Schelswig-Holstein (repeatedly) to go off and kill lesser europeans*.  I recall asking my grandfolks about Germany & what they though of it.  They replied (with much barnyard language I shall omit), "If Germany was so great, why did they come here?"

The ADL goes apey when they see that flag, but they also think Nazis are hiding under everybody's beds.

*  If you saw a photo of my ancestor mentioned above, almost EVERYONE is "lesser"--6'6" in the late 1800s)

Imperial German Flag.
I do not smoke pot, wear Wookie suits, live in my mom's basement, collect unemployment checks or eat Cheetoes, therefore I am not a Ron Paul voter.

Ironically my children's great-great uncles also killed lesser Europeans under that flag.  Two of them were killed (one at Somme, one at Ypres) doing so.

sad  My ancestors are so boring.  Between Mennonites on one side and Irish peasantry on the other, I don't get any French swords or tales of derring-do.   sad
