AL first on list of guns sold
« on: January 17, 2013, 10:43:14 PM »
I just read tonight that Alabama leads all of the states in guns sold since the Newton shooting.

Another thing that makes me glad I moved here.

Coulda guessed that when I checked out the rifle-racks at Academy Sports yesterday..............

Also, no 5.56mm. ammo.  Popular handgun caliber ammo is being doled out 1 box per customer per day.

I think we're getting ready for Civil War Part II. [tinfoil]

I know a NEF 20ga shotgun was bought in CO today by a 71 yr old woman.  Mom is concerned more now than ever so we picked it up at Walmart.  She also bought all of their 20ga ammo.

That makes sense.  I knew what an AR and an AK is, but never heard of an AL   =D

Precisely zero, none, nada, zippo ammo in .223, 9mm, 7.63x39, or even .22LR, ferchrissakes, at the local Academy Sports.

I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago and other than some shotgun ammo and way-way-off-the-beaten-caliber-path rifle ammo, there is nothing on the shelves at Gun Shops, Bass Pro, Cabela's, Gander Mountain or even Wal-marts.

I mean nothing.

Other than shotguns, gun racks and pistol cases are empty.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
