New York City has been infiltrated by chicken restaurants with extremely polite employees. Will these right wing horrors never cease?!?

Chick-fil-a is about as unassuming a "Christian" company as can be.
I have never seen any religious materials at any restaurant (and my children LOVE Chick-fil-a so we are frequent visitors.)
The staff is unfailingly polite, courteous, and helpful. (And the food is excellent. Since I've been needing more fiber in my diet, I almost always get a salad when we visit lately. Even their salads are tasty!)
The KNOWLEDGE that the owners are Christian and that they live it out (partly by closing on Sundays) is enough to set the liberals off.
That really ought to open the eyes of any who don't think the left wants to crush any and all dissent, ESPECIALLY evangelical Christians.

Had I money I would be a terrorist, order CFA daily and send it to the New Yorker office. Put them on blast for hating poor people if they trash it. Hopefully get an employee to say something positive on social media and then magnify that.

New Yorker writers, editors, and contributors do not need to have a coherent premise or any rational continuity in their articles. All they have to do is string many many many many words together in a grammatically consistent manner.

I quit reading it except for the cartoons long before I left Noo Yawk, and haven't looked at it since then. Besides, Playboy had better cartoons anyhow.

So I just saw a news snippet on the TV where they mentioned New Yorkers complaining about bible verses on the walls. I don't have a local Chick-fil-A, so only visit one when I'm traveling, but I don't remember seeing any "blatant" Christian verses around the restaurants. Either I'm oblivious (which is true), or any verses are fairly inconspicuous.

Got a Jesus Chicken here about 2 miles from Festung Scout. Great chicken sandwiches. I don't recall any blatant Christian "stuff" anywhere in the store. However, my town is EXTREMELY evangelical Christian so I would notice it.
The only thing that I find somewhat "weird" is how polite and positive they employees are . Like beyond "Stepford Wives" courteous.

I've seen Muslim employees in chick fil a.
Mexicans, blacks, asians, middle eastern and whites.
Old and young.
I've never once seen religious propaganda in one, nor have I ever been prostoltized in one.

I may be the odd man out here but while Chik-fil-a is "OK" I just don't see what all the fuss is about.
They make a decent fast-food grade chicken sandwich and their breakfast chicken biscuit is fine enough I just don't se it as anything all that special.

Pretty much it is "OK" as you say, which is part of the point. People go there for the same reason they go to other fast food chains: Standard food so they don't have to experiment in some locale they are just passing through, for example. It's generally better than McDonald's with the added bonus of spotless restaurants with, as has been said, extremely nice and polite employees who go way out of their way for customer service.
I don't think anyone is claiming that they're fives stars. It's that they are a decent, clean, and friendly place to eat. I have never been proselytized to in a Cick-fil-A, never seen any "God references" or anything else religious. Unless you count that their customer service seems to be based on "Do unto others" and other polite stuff out of the bible, that happens to be part of other religions and philosophies as well.
People come to Chick-fil-A's defense because SJWs attack them just because the owner is a Christian.Because of that they somehow think Chick-fil-A should be run out of business, putting thousands (tens of thousands?) of decent, hardworking people out of a job.

Like Arby's, it's all about the sauce. Unlike Arby's, however, they don't let you pump out half a gallon for yourself, instead making you beg at the counter for tiny little tubs of the stuff.

Chick fil a is okay food. Good tasting for fast food. I like being able to get actual chicken (not a formed patty) breast.
Chick fil a thrives on having good customer service, a product line that is different than their competition, and modern and clean restaurants.

We just think it tastes good because it's laden with salt, sugar, and fat.

It is nice when you have a fast food place that has someone going around cleaning tables and keeping things fairly clean. Most Burger King and McDonalds have minimal staff and that sort of thing is a spare time activity. Of course, that applies to any place selling food.

If you're looking at just the fast food genre, I'll give Chick-fil-A a "great", though I probably like In n Out a bit better (for my tastes, YMMV). But if it's Chick-fil-A compared to the major fast food chains, sure, I'll generally head for the Chick-fil-A instead, based on all the reasons outlined above.

Another point in their favor:
Their restaurants continue to be "kid-friendly" while all the other ones seem to be moving away from that. (Looking at you, McDonald's.)
As I don't really care for McDonald's, I'm especially happy my children will prefer Chick-fil-A to any other fast food place.

I never noticed them before, but there are two near me on Sheridan and another on West Colfax. I reckon I'll give them a try, although I'm not partial to chicken breasts.

This. They have the best Chicken Sandwich* of any chain (and most one-off's, in fact I can't think of place with a better chicken [breast] sandwich), same with their version of Nuggets The Waffle Fries dipped in Chick-fil-A sauce are awesome. The restaurants are exceptionally clean. The staff is beyond friendly, courteous, and helpful. Like scary helpful. The Jesus Chicken near me is always packed and there's always a line in the drive-through, yet, there's never a very long wait once your order is in. (and the lines move fairly quickly to get your order in). They take good care of their employees. (Above average wages and benefits, plus every Sunday off.) If the food was crap, people wouldn't go there, no matter if it was a "Christian" place or not.

I'm surprised De Blasio wants to be seen honcho-ing a rat-killing operation. Then again, I guess rats are the big enemy in NYC. What do I know? I live in primitive fly-over country, where we don't have a rat problem.

What is also funny to me, is even when Jesus Chicken (I'm gonna start using that :laugh: ) is in a liberal place, it's freakin' packed. They put one in commie pinko Santa Barbara just before I moved. The local commie rag opinion pages (as well as what passed for "news" articles) were packed with Jesus Chicken hate and "not in our town!"
Yet, from the day it opened, and to this day when I pass through town there, the place is always packed to the point of vehicles flowing into the main drag.

If you want more than two, you'll be ushered into a confessional in the back. Only after convincing them that you are Truly Worthy can you receive extra sauces.

I have one gripe with them, they do the name for an order thing even though they find your table by color coded bucket. I usually give my kid's name, although Achmed does rattle the clientele and staff. My dad prefers biblical names. Just a time waster to type in names.
Beyond that, yes fast food can be trash. And sometimes that's what we can afford in money or time. And it is possible to stay healthy eating any of them, CFA just makes it easier. It is the only fast food joint left where I get a full meal because waffle fries. The others I have a $5 limit, no fries, no soda. CFA is the only fast food salad edible, the rest use a ton of preservatives and I know because of immediate consequences, the same uncertain feeling I get from Subway veggies. So I usually half a salad, waffle fries and a tea/lemonade, or just unsweet tea.
The drive thru is the best, hit a busy one at lunch and there will be employees with tablets taking orders back in the line. More evidence of what I figure is better managers and better training.

PS. I never noticed it before, but the have one of each of the sauces on top of the drink dispensers. The Polynesian sauce is very sweet, too sweet for my taste.

I looked it up. 13 grams of sugar in that packet. That is three teaspoons of sugar. And you think it is too sweet. I can't understand why. =D
