Title: Interesting bit o' kit: LULA for pistols
Post by: Balog on November 02, 2009, 12:19:41 AM
The LULA magazine loader is a pretty slick and nifty toy, but I never cared much for it as it was AR-based. Apparently now they've came up with a universal pistol version. Just in time for me to switch from semis to snubbies.  =|

I've got one of them. They are great. Especially great for getting the last few rounds into a new magazine.

Where ya been?  :)

The UPLULA has been out for awhile. I have one and I really like it. I also like the original LULA for the AR.

Kind of under a rock, gun-wise for the last couple years actually. Just now getting back into the culture.

My friend Luke had trouble loading his 1911.  Rather than doing him the disservice of suggesting this LULA device, I told him that his tender thumbs were disgraceful for an American, and that he should load magazines until his thumbs were as calloused and hard as my conservative heart.  This builds character.   :police:

Was he the one you were trying to teach how to shoot or something? Memory fails me. How'd that go anyway?

I like to a'killed that boy.  That gun he bought was a four-hundred-dollar Rock Island "GI Model."  It ran with nary a hiccup for something like 800 rounds.  Then he up and sells it to buy something for some girl he shoulda knowed better than to get involved with.  Let us talk no more of this.

Edit: I ain't mad at you Balog.  I just still get a little annoyed when I think about that.  One day, when I re-join the 1911-owners club, it will not annoy me so much.  Unless I pay 800 for a "good" 1911 and it doesn't function as well as that one.  OK, getting angry again.  Must stop.

The UPLULA (and the other Lula loaders) are INVALUABLE. I bow down to them. Balog, they make loaders for the AK, FAL, G3, UZI, HKs, and others, IIRC.
