http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblog/2012/08/21/the-oatmeal-raises-880000-to-buy-tesla-museum/
Earlier this year, the Oatmeal did a webcomic on Nikola Tesla. Recently, Mathew Inman has spearheaded an effort to buy the Wardenclyffe laboratory site for an eventual museum. I hope they name the Inman wing after him.
-
I'm offended by Matthew Inman forcing his beliefs about Nikola Tesla on the rest of us.
-
Shocking! :O
-
Is that a current article?
-
he failed to mod the Edison wiki page on Tesla's birthday
-
Tesla had such a magnetic personality.

Tesla had such a magnetic personality.
His inventivenness was .... shocking ....
-
I'll be donating as well. Tesla gave the world so much. AC power, radar, radi, sentry coils in Red Alert, etc etc.
I'll be visiting the site as well once the museum is up and running.
-
sentry coils in Red Alert, etc etc.
I see what you did there. I approve.
-
I keep alternating my current feelings about this whole thing.

Ohm my god. Watt are you doing to a perfectly good thread? My resistance to this place grows every time I see y'alls terrible punnery. Please rectify this current mess.

You're shock and outrage indicates high stress levels.
You should try meditation. Just sit quietly and say "Ohm".

Indeed. With everyone all amped up around here, there has been quite a lot of tension.
-
I'm neutral on this thread: neither positive nor negative.

Now I wish he had invented a better indirect power supply so I could remotely tase each of you. =D

This thread is inducing feedback.

Only because some posters aren't very well grounded.

He purportedly invented a death ray, but the .gov grabbed it. It's probably in the basement of the White House ...
-
Don't forget his brother Noah Tesla, who invented the arc.

Resistance is futile.
-
It's just a phase that we're going through. =)

I've been reading some of Tesla's writings lately. Dude was weird. No coffee, no sex (EVER), and he had weird flashes where he saw himself in different places.
-
These puns could get revolting.

You just zapped the life out of the thread with that pun.

That sounds like a very enlightening read.
-
Was it a magnetic story that stuck with you?

No caffiene or nookie? Dude, I'd invent a death ray too.

Or, at the very least, end up with an assault & battery charge....
-

Trust me, having both doesn't mean one DOESN'T invent death rays.
I mean...so I've heard....there is this friend of mine....I mean, one could easily...It's not REALLY a death ray...
Ah, hell. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD.

Supposedly he claimed Martians were talking to him later in life? Dude was a genius, but the cheese had slid off his cracker by the end.
-
Seems Tesla has lots of fans.

How do you know the Martians didn't talk to him? Did they tell you different?....
-
I'm kicking in $50 on payday.

Give 'til it Hertz

Win! =D

With that kind of money they have the potential to transform his workshop into a nice museum that will illuminate the next generation.

....unless they pull the plug....
-
...Or the exhibits are no longer current.

I can't say they weren't talking to him. If I did it would just be an educated gauss.
-
....unless they pull the plug....
That's not something you'd want to do on impulse.

I heard that the exhibits would be alternating....
