Being self employed has taught me it is not nessessarily the exact skill set you have, but the attitude, commitment and belief in yourself that will bring in the work.

PS- for the first post on this thread- I would say you have a perfect skill set to build web sites for about a jillion small businesses that do not have a ton of money to spend, and a good "target" ! market, the small firearms related operations. (and think of the trade potential!) "I'm sorry Mr. Jones, we are a bit short of cash this month but I do happen to have this Barrett .50 that has been gathering dust for a while...."
