It would shock you the number of danger areas on a nautical chart for unexploded ordanance....

Since the Air Force only took certain parts of the missile I would suppose so. If they didn't want him to keep it they would have taken the whole thing.

It's on th local news down here.  Some EOD folks from MacDill went up there and blew it as UXO.  MacDill's PAO said today that it was an inert training missle, but the video they're showing on the news looks an awful lot like a warshot to me.  I thought the training ones were painted blue.
