I'd pick a better front panel though, something more "antique".

I've been out of school too long.  I used to understand all that radio stuff, but right now I can't make much sense out of it.

  • Witty, charming, handsome, and completely insane.
Performance-wise it's really nice.  I'm not very hip on his wiring and connection layout, though.  It lacks a sense of simplistic elegance that (usually) also lends itself to performance efficiency and ease of maintenance.

Yeah, it's typical "ugly construction", but one of the goals was to not use any ICs or transistors.  That probably limited the simplicity from a wiring perspective.

I just built a headphone amp that uses tewbz. I'm really happy because it sounds good (though not massively better than the headphone out on my reciever), and it glows! pics later
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.
