How does the Alaska oil pipeline corrode?

Art,

You mention economics 101 as if it were there from the time of Creation.

Describing the mechanics of it, with which enough people are familiar, does not change it's controlled, artificial and corrupt nature.

Certainly China is going to continue to eat up more and more. And our leadership is going to let them have it, just as they have let them have just about everything else.

Well, when there is a demand, price is controlled by the quantity available as people compete.  That's been the case forever, even before anybody figured out reading and writing.  Governments try to mess with it, and usually screw up bigtime.

Hey, I don't make the rules.  I just try to learn them and put them to use in my favor.

I dropped out of organized work as "independently not-broke" when I was 45 years old, back in 1979, so I don't think I'm eat up with the terminal dumbass on economic stuff. Smiley

Edit-add:  If the tribe of Ugga the Caveman became short of women, then women had a higher value than before.  The men then competed more for domestic partners, whether by bringing in more food or by fighting other tribes.  Just a variant on Econ 101.  Sorta like young men's problem in the Old West of the US or in  today's China.
