Allegedly the police forced the Trump supporters to walk through a crowd of violent anti-Trump thugs.

The cops as individuals may lose their immunity.


From the judges' ruling:

Based on the allegations in the FAC, which we take as true at this stage of the proceedings, we also find that this is "one of those rare cases" in which the constitutional violation "is so 'obvious' that we must conclude ... qualified immunity is inapplicable, even without a case directly on point."

I hope these people win and the city and some of it's cops take a huge financial hit.

Nice to see that ruling.  Even if only some police officers are dragged into court, maybe others will be less likely to obey such orders in the future.  That would be a good precedent to set.
