So, your house wears a tinfoil hat.

This sounds like a reasonable trade-off for the GPS app not working.

The original article I posted mentioned that statistic in passing.

Apparently mathematics scores aren't much better.

Relevant to this, I just saw a news segment that said only 21% of Chicago 8th graders are proficient at reading. There was a time when the opposite of that, 21% NOT proficient, was an outrage. Chicago may be ground zero for the idiocracy generation.

And, oddly enough, this dropped in Fox News today...

Bodies of 3 surfers recovered from well in Baja California.

My nephew and his wife honeymooned in Cancun last year. They were in an all-inclusive resort with security.

Still couldn't convince me to go under any circumstances.

Which is a pity, because I'd love to see the ruins throughout Central and South America.

My nephew in law, who is Mexican (but Spanish Mexican so he's white bread looking), takes my grandniece to Cancun every year. They always stay at the same kind of fancy resort with security, but these days I worry every time they go.

I've done Mexico and Central America for dive trips and seeing the Mayan ruins, including going well outside of normal tourist destinations, but that was some years ago. I don't think I'd take the, while small, still much larger than it used to be, risk of doing those trips these days.

So, the CEO of an online men and women's health company, Hims & Hers, said last week that he admired all of the protestors and said they could come work for him. That was after a lot of corporate CEOs came out and said that they would never hire someone involved in one of the protests (I'm assuming they meant someone who was arrested).

Well, last Friday investors apparently sent him a message with a pretty substantial hit to the company's stock (down 8% on Friday).

Now he's crying about how the big meanies have misconstrued his words, how he's not antisemitic and is against violence and intimidation...

Turns out he's Palestinian American, and from what he said last week leading up to this, it certainly seems that he's quibbling.

Don't issue licenses until the kid hits 18.
And rescind them at 75?

I'm pretty sure I know something that would cut auto accident deaths by more, and it wouldn't require expensive tech to be added to your car.

Suburban mommies and daddies would freak.
