One Nation Rally an abject failure
« on: October 02, 2010, 05:39:23 PM »
The One Nation Rally held today at the Lincoln Memorial is widely seen as, and apparently intended as, a response to the Restoring Honor Rally and the Tea Party movement. But since no one heard about it,* and it only drew a fraction of the crowd present on 28 August, you do the math.

*Yes, of course it was covered by the press, but compared to the controversy about Glenn Beck's event, today's rally was just another left-wing hate-fest churned out by the professional Left. Nothing new.

Didja notice the 4 photos at your link didn't exactly show any kind of panorama shots.  I suspect hundreds, not thousands were at the rally.

It's hard to judge from one photograph.  Is it possible that was taken before the event began, or after it concluded? I saw some photographs of a Tea Party I attended last month, at the Gateway Arch. I remember the steps being packed out, but some of the photos were apparently taken early or late, when there were very few people there.

Carefully taken to give the impression of great attendance, is my guess.

There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Should of had a bunch of tea-partyers with don't-tread-me t-shirts go around and pick up the trash.  =D

Of course the MSM doesn't see any kind of story showing the contrast between TP and Leftists who gather to send out their messages.

Move on, nothing to see here, move on........

I was there today.  I didn't know the rally was today though.  I got a really good parking space though.  Just be nice to the police and laugh at their jokes about the crowd, and they'll move a barrier one parking spot back and let you park there.

There were thousands there, they just used the trip as a mini vacation and went to all the Smithsonian Museums.  Made for longer lines for me and having to listen to them talk about why they were in DC.  There was only a small crowd for Al Sharpton.  There were lots of "anarchist and socialists" with lots of signs and chants but no substance when questioned.

We left it cleaner than we found it on 9/12/09 as did Glen's thing a bit back.

Sort of reminds me of the Earth Day crowds that tradionally used to show their concern for the environment by trashing the national mall and leaving tons of trash and filth behind for someone else to clean up.

What they couldn't hire temps, like UFCW Nevada, to fill the mall.
Well, . . . this morning on the radio - while they were discussing the extensive coverage NBC gave this (tiny) rally while virtually ignoring the Glen Beck thing a few weeks back - the radio hosts mentioned that the SEIU had hired several hundred busses to bring in a good part of the crowd they had . . .
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.
