the other thing that pulls it up in the rankings is by having other sites link to you

Can you get CD baby to add a link?

Google seems to re$pect them

I do not believe so. They do very little promotion other than flash your CD cover every so often on the main page. They are mostly just a warehouse. I'm not worried. JH's page was on 15 a week ago now it's around 10. That's not bad movement. Too bad I can't use this box to check anymore. PITA...

Like I said, I don't know what sparked the 43 visits. It ebbs and flows but people are definitely finding their way there somehow. CT Guitar has it on their homepage now. That's generated a couple.

very interesting all this computer stuff. Nice to have a good selection of people around here that know their *expletive deleted*it, err, stuff too.  ;)

I'll tell you one thing. Precious few people are going from ABE to the CD baby page. I'm not sure why. I'm hoping that Itunes button is where the payoff is.

So I deleted my cookies and now it's back on the middle of page 13 for me. Still farther up than 15.

35 visits yesterday. Loooong list of different countries where hits (not visits) have originated.

Have you gone into the analysis page at all? I cannot believe the list of countries.

When you say "google has been there" what does that mean exactly?

well googles spider was on the site march 14th and they crawled the site and ingested the content

getting them to promote the site in web searches is the trick

I am thinking if we make some youtube videos,
even if they are 30 second snippits with just image moves,
then link to the site in the comments,
we should move up the hit counts and rankings

it's always possible that those hits are from robots

You could set up a facebook fan page and give away a copy a week to people that click on a form link on the site...

Our version of the Scofield / Mayer arrangement.
Rickie Miller vocals, Tony Dioguardi guitar, Stu Woods bass, John Rispoli drums,
Dusty Bobo guitar (not in frame due to inability to secure legal permission to use his likeness)

ask him if he can edit this and add a link

maybe you can comment add a link
