It looks dry

But, just a few miles away (about a 30 minute drive) is this:

Stickjocky,

Do you live in Portland? That looks like Mt. Hood in the background. I have seen the view from the other perspective, Portland from the top of Mt. Hood.

We have ... flat.  Dead flat.  As far as the eye can see.  In every direction.  Miles and miles of miles and miles.  The Llano Estacado is the largest nearly level expanse of land in the U.S..  It's a giant 37,500 square mile pool talble.

Yeah, but you've got the country's premier wind-load research center. They have a building on a turntable! On a turntable!

Looks like you live in a fairly bucolic small town and in a house that was probably built in the early 1900s.
Very keen observation. Cheesy
I'll probably go for a walk tomorrow or the next day.  I could take a few pix of Main St.  There are a few really old buildings there.  Nothing terribly interesting though.  There is a nice memorial called No Man's Land I like to hang out at though.
Ahoskie has been around since the mid or late 1800s, and from what I can tell, so has Main St.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

Thanks for the pics, Stickjockey.  River City.  Bridgetown.  Stumptown.  Portland, my old home town.

Rocketman, don't you live around here somewhere still? Oregon, I mean.

Mountainclmbr, yes it is Portland. The first pic was taken just south of the- well, heck; that bridge's name escapes me right now, but it's basically one pridge north of where OMSI keeps the U.S.S. Blueback submarine, right along the waterfront. They're both pics I found on the web.

Two hours south in Lebanon.  Seldom get up that way anymore, and when I do it's just for a short time, usually passing through the airport.

Mine's waterfront.

Seriously, I live in the suburbs of DC.  Absoulutely uninteresting.

I can't seem to find any of the haus, but that's okay.  Contemporary colonial with a front porch.
Here's a pic of the neighborhood in Feb. from my front porch.

Decent houses on small lots.  House-poor neighbors who don't bother putting decks on all thier homes or finishing thier basements.
