Not so synchronous coat-putting-onning.  And lapel adjusting. >:D

I could swear there's some antlike neurons somewhere in human brains.  We love seeing drills like this, armed or not, we love to watch synchronized dance like the Rockettes, we love to put uniforms on soldiers and orchestras and some school students, and baggy pants down around some youts' butts are de rigueur for that group.

There's something there... that desire for conformity and uniformity.

Maybe it's a component of xenophobia and it's a good thing?  A survival trait buried deep within us somewhere?

The part where they split into two groups and then each group crossed through the other was a nice touch -- especially when they did it backwards.

Last time I looked, there were reasons other than uniforms and synchronized anything for watching the Rocketts.  (Although watching a bunch of them for the ame reason is not bed, either.)

As for the Japanese (I am presuming those folks are Japanese) there seems to be a deeply implanted cultural propensity to do whole lists of thigs in such togetherness - everything from morning calesthenics to cheering at baseball games.  The individual is still to be feared over there.

No, that's not line dancing.  If it was line dancing, there would've been a lizard selling insurance.  And it would have been trampled.
