What the?!? Avon Anti-Aging Cream is ORM-D?

I'm visiting my parents on vacation, and of course my mom puts me to work.  In this case, breaking down boxes.

I happen to notice the ORMD label on a box, so I take a closer look...

Printed on the box, Avon Anew Ultimate Age Repair Night cream & Elixir, ORMD.

Is my mom putting explosives on her face?

What other weird stuff is ORMD?

anything that is flammable. the glycerin in the face cream is flammable.

Yep, anything with a petrochemical or oil/grease content that's too high has to go ground. Because in a plane crash, the extra oil from your 1lb package could add to the umpteen thousand pounds of JP-8 or whatever in the plane's fuel tanks hitting the ground at 200mph and then really start a fire... 

(Yes, I know. What if every package on that plane was then ORM-D, I get it...)

I had a hell of a time getting the handguns home from my grandfather's estate in 2003. I stupidly re-used a box that had been for machine tool oil, and UPS kept refusing it as ORM-D. The long guns that went UPS ground beat the next-day-air handgun box by two days...

I had a relative marker it out then resubmit and it went no problems.
