Knife Rights supported Texas HB 446, repealing the ban on carry of clubs (including tomahawks) and possession of knuckles (including trench knives and the like) has been signed by Texas Governor Abbot. It will be effective on September 1, 2019.
I guess I can also now own some brass knuckles also. So now it appears that just about any weapon other than a gun is legal to carry.
I hadn't realized those trench knives were illegal here until a few years back. Never had any though. Should I start carrying a Tomahawk down the sidewalk and be a real jerk to police? Maybe not.

I am thinking maybe both, for body and soft tissue slashing the Tomahawk would be best, for head thumping the club, I would be afraid of puncturing the skull and getting the Tomahawk stuck. ;)

Quit thinking small. Haliberd.

A collapsible baton.

Looks like a good idea for a custom Glock frame.

"No Officer, this is just my walking Tomahawk."

I want a tacticool umbrella that is really an ASP baton, and a briefcase with a handle that quick detaches into a tomahawk. You know, so I don't blow my cover.
-
(Club + hawk blade) > club
Math.
-
Go for the club. A tomahawk is a little heavy for everyday carry.

I think Rock Island Armory makes a replica of those.

That was my poor attempt to Photoshop something into existence.

That's actually not a bad 'shop. I had to look at it hard for a sec too.

It should exist.
It deserves to exist.
It neeeeeds to exist.

I think ya dun gud.
Of course, you made the slide so short that it can't shoot, but if you had made it Officers length, for example, it could work.

The downside of an axe or tomahawk in any melee combat, is that while a blow focused on the edge can be devastating, any blow hard enough to disable an opponent is going to stick into him, and not give you a good recovery or rebound to parry or deliver another blow somewhere else as quickly.
Unless you crush skull into the brain cavity, a baton or club won't be as immediately lethal, but you get better rebound which you can quickly turn into a parry, a block, or another blow.
If you can use the blunt face of a hatchet without cutting yourself, that could be the best of both worlds but IMO, you'd need a ton of practice to be confident in doing it.

A tomahawk is a bit intimidating to someone on the street. Even better with a Glock 19 in the other hand.

That scene was the first thing I thought of!
