Fredericksburg VA Gun Show - meet and greet?
« on: January 25, 2006, 03:17:03 AM »
Looks like there's quite a bit of N. VA traffic on this forum!  On THR there's a thread about a gun show in Fredericksburg.

Is anyone planning to go, and if so I wonder if we can manage to do lunch or something?

I've not decided if I'm going to this one or not.

I've tried to convince mtnbkr to go, but he has family coming into town this weekend and likely won't be able to make it.

If we're able to go, it would likely be Sunday morning.  The problem is Fredneck's Burg is over half an hour away and in the opposite direction of things we plan on doing Saturday.

Besides, I'm saving my pennies for the Chantily show in a few weeks. Smiley

Don't know if anyone else made it, but the gun show in Fredericksburg was pretty good, for a first time show.  I spent a whopping $3 on a part for the .45.  Woohoo!

About 200 tables, well staged in a room of appropriate size that made it seem full.  The ratio of guns and knives to crap was about typical for an "open" show (had the usual amount of jewelry, jerky, t-shirts, odd tools, and tacky knickknacks).  Seemed to be more long guns than pistols.

People watching was also rather typical for a gun show.
