Just getting ready to post this myself.  I would say pay for the damage, say "We are sorry," and be done with it.  Looks as if that is what the owner of the minivan is asking for.

Using a police/sheriff's bomb range with LEO supervision was always a hedge against this sort of thing.  ;)

What if your or I did something similar?

Prosecute for what crime?

Hold them accountable for the damages, but I'm not seeing a crime here. I enjoy the show and I seriously doubt there was negligence involved.

Prosecute them for what? They were working under police supervision when it happened for crickett's sake.
