There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

Awesome.  Give the local E4s a week, and that truck will be filled with booze instead of water.

Do you want longer weekend safety briefs?

Because that's how you get longer weekend safety briefs.

Really one heck of a deal. Probably only about 1.5x scrap value assuming nothing was parted off.  But you have a diesel and a heavy truck frame under there, good for something. Life goals should now be getting rid of the hose storage a d installing a hot tub up on the back.

LOL... join your local rural VFD with that, and don't tell anyone, just show up to the first call in it.

Would that make you the most prepared VFF ever? Or would it be the firefighting equivalent of the strange ranger who drives a hubcapless old Caprice Classic covered in every last bit of crap he could buy from the Galls catalog without department letterhead?
I promise not to duck.

In any local/rural setting word would get out quickly, unless you stored it somewhere far enough away it wouldn't be practical for an actual call.

The strange rangers have been using the Ford Crown Vic for the past ten years or so. 96 was the last year for the 9C1 Caprice.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.

Since when do statements such as that apply to APS?

I posted this on FB about 4-6 months ago.  I think I gave my old 1SG an aneurysm when he watched it, as he was at a complete loss for words when I asked him and two of my PSG's how they would handle this situation, as this was CLEARLY NCO business and not officer business.  (One of my old PSG accused moi of hiding behind that phrase so I wouldn't be involved/have to deal with it.  My response was "Yeah, and ?"

I can't tell if it's Lewis or Carson, and I can't clearly hear what he said the gate guard said, which would let you know which base.  Since they have the MEDDAC SSI, I'll guess "Mac" is some type of medic at the post Hospital.

I would love to have seen their 1SG's reaction and the follow-up....

At least he didn't buy it at 36% interest with easy monthly payments for the rest of his life...

Had a fellow airman do that in tech school.

And really, what are they worried about?  It say that they objected to his parking job - but I see that he parked it in the far end of the lot, around no other vehicles, didn't block the entrance, kept the wheels off the pavement and the parking lot doesn't have surrounding curb/sidewalk to worry about.  What's the big deal?

All I'd worry about would be him having liability insurance on it.

Yep, I spent a fun-filled day at Madigan after getting hypothermia there in August.
