There should also be some shooting stars tonight.

The Geminid meteorite's shower was last night. There will still be meteors tonight and thru the weekend.

 I saw half a dozen slow and bright meteors and another half dozen fainter ones last night.

I'm flying tonight out to Oakland.  Our route is along the northern border, so I should get a good show.

Luckily, I have plenty of aluminum around me to protect me from "the rays."

The Aurora Borealis is visible here tonight! The green colors are continually varying in brightness and are continually undulating across the sky... it's very cool, especially for someone who's never seen it before.  cool
