Nate Silver's Numbers Indicate Probable Obama Win, World Agrees

Quote
"The state-by-state election outcome probabilities today on Nate Silver's 538 imply a 97.7% probability for Obama to win 270 or more electoral college votes this coming Tuesday. A site that allows anyone but U.S. citizens vote seems to indicate that the rest of the world hopes these numbers are accurate. "

The referenced world vote site.

Are they making book? Sounds like good odds for those of us who expect a comfortable win for Romney.

~2800 people worldwide have "voted".  There are over 3000 registered voters at my polling place tomorrow. (242 of which early voted.)
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Here is a little gem from Nate Silvers November 4th blog post.

The past month has brought a series of encouraging economic news, including strong jobs reports in October and last Friday.

I'm not making any predictions about who is going to win and I am genuinely fearful of the outcome of this election but........ Nate Silver is obviously a glass half full kind of guy if he can write that *expletive deleted*it with a straight face.

"Strong" jobs report? With even the official, as opposed to actual, unemployment numbers UP (albeit only slightly)?  Wow. That's a damn good poker face.

The lesson we can take from this is that we are in a state of war and need to be warriors if we want to preserve our political liberty.  That isn't news to us but it--and what it implies--is uncomfortable news to many who are otherwise nominally on our side.  Tyranny is the "normal" state of mankind.
