WOO HOO!

My employer has dismantled the big plastic "sneeze guards" around the security desk.

That means that the Covid is officially over!

Now you'll have to wear plastic underwear which will have to wore on the outside to confirm compliance because of monkey pox

Our sneeze guards came down some months ago. Instead of celebrating that covid was over, the Debbie Downers around here just made noises about how "they" would make us put them up again in the fall.  ;/

I have a conference coming up in Oct that was requiring proof of vax or a negative pcr test to attend. I’ve been dragging my feet because I reacted so badly to the second shot and because my wife had the virus once for sure and probably twice in the time since and I had no symptoms.
Well, they just updated their policy as of sept 1 no proof of vax or testing required. They quoted some cdc words basically saying that the vaccine is ineffective at controlling the spread.

Some of that could be more people doing almost nothing but sitting at home eating junk food gaining a bunch of weight.
