A Deadwood movie?
« on: August 14, 2015, 09:11:40 PM »
. . . maybe.  Preliminary talks are underway:

It might work now the Oliphant is done with Justified.

Crossing my fingers, since the series ended in a most unsatisfactory manner.

That would be awesome - it was a great show

Would be nice. The Seth Bullock character, before the show, was almost lost to history. This man played a very important roll in shaping the west. Not that the show would be historically correct.

It would make up for the lack of historical accuracy with profanity.  Lots of profanity, you c********r!(1)

I started watching the series again on Amazon Prime. Is every character Olyphant play always such a raw nerve of anger or just the ones wearing cowboy hats?
Does any image illustrate so neatly the wrongheadedness of the Obama administration than Americans scrambling in terror from Air Force One?

confirmed.  http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/07/hbo-deadwood-movie-happening

Took a while as they had to wait until Al Swearengen scrubbed clean every last blood stain from the set.

Excellent news!

I'm hoping the cliffhanger in the final episode gets resolved. If not directly in the movie, at least in the backstory. I hate when a great series just "ends" like that due to knuckleheads at the studios.

I'm bingeing Deadwood on HBO on demand right now. Convenient timing on my part! Just heard about the movie!

The last season kind of sucked. Hopefully the movie will be better.
