First off, glad the homeowner is okay, though he appears to be a condition white dude.

I just cracked up over the picture of the firearm used by the home invaders, which also apparently jammed during use.

I think that's a Stevens Model 30... Designed originally by John Browning, probably 100 years old.


Hum... Given the pin/screw configuration, it might actually be a Stevens 520... The Model 30 was the Western Field version...

Best thing that could happen to it, really.

Decent design (not one of JMB's best, though) but not great execution by Stevens and not particularly durable. Known for wearing of certain parts.

Nah.  Best thing would be to mount it on the wall as a battle trophy for the home owner.
