I'm no movie producer, but...
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:59:11 PM »
The media is all agog that "Sequel in the City" only came in 3rd this weekend, beaten by the fourth installment of a worn-out troll franchise.  Now maybe I'm just a genius, but it seems obvious that if your movie has "sex" in the title, Official Family Holiday weekend is not going to work out for you.

I've actually heard people say it was pretty bad, but I haven't seen it.  Not planning to.

What the movie industry fails to understand is that lots of pepole have sex and couldn't care less about what those three braods are doing with their bits and pieces. Thye're all kind of ugly too if you ask me.  >:D

According to:

http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2008/SEXCT.php

the first film was number one for most of the first week of its release. Interestingly, the same website lists the sequel as being number one for Thurs. and Fri., but then dropping into third after that.

I don't think "sex" in the title has much to do with it.

The movie is absolutely horrible.  Haven't seen it, but a movie doesn't get 3.5 on IMDB (after a few thousand votes) and 15% on rottentomatoes without something going horribly, horribly wrong.
