My Son
« on: May 26, 2006, 06:09:11 AM »
This is a follow on to this thread.  My son was born Sunday May 21 at 11:22PM.  Although I nearly got an ulcer, mom and baby are both just fine.

Why the near ulcer?  My wife only labored for 1.0 hour.  And we didn't make it to the birth center before he was born.  Another 7-8 minutes and we would have at least made it to the parking lot.  My MIL was in the back seat and caught him as I drove 80mph up I-17 towards the birth center (why, oh why can't there be a birth center on the east side of the Valley).  His name is Talon Asher and he weighed 6lb 13oz and was 19.25".

At any rate, alls well that ends well.  We had him circumcised on Wednesday.  He's already mostly healed.  My wife was reluctant to the end, but still went along.

Congrats.  You should have named him Early Entry Sumpnz.

Congrats! You'll be surprised one day at how fast they grow.

Yeah, wild ride is a bit of an understatement.  At least our daughter gave us 4.5 hours notice so we could make it to the birth center.

No gun yet, but I'm eyeing some single shot, or at least bolt action if a repeater for each of them.  If I can afford it when the time comes a pair of CZ 452's might be in order.

It still surprises me how much bigger our daughter is.  Even at birth she was almost a full pound heavier than Talon was.  She just turned 2 in early April.

Not only was he born before we could make it, he was 6 days early (tomorrow was his due date).  Thank the Lord my MIL changed her flights to come out last Saturday rather than wait until Thursday.
