The part I don't get is accusing DHS of scare-mongering.  Hello?  World Trade Center?  Madrid and London?  DC snipers?  The college student plowing through campus, using his SUV to cream people?

Hurricane Katrina?  Massive forest fires?  The flood of '93?

Yeah, nothing to be the least bit prepared for.
