He is black, a gun owner, and a CHL holder.  He probably votes Republican.  They would sooner prosecute him.

"The Root" is hardly an unbiased source, and note their HUGE mistake when they report:What Daniels didn't know was that Foster had watched him leave his car and saw him put his legally registered firearm into his waist holster before entering the Wal-Mart. Since Florida is an open-carry state,

Florida is NOT an open carry State at all.

But do they "register" handguns?  ;/

Yeah... the OC'er screams "vet" to me too.  =)

Not an actual charge enhancer, but does the perpetrator zero good in the court of public opinion.

According to the reports I've read, the gun was concealed, but the other guy saw him take it out of his car and put it on. To me, this makes the vigilante's actions a little bit more understandable, if not really reasonable.

Age difference ~ disparity of force. My immediate reaction was that Mr. Vigilante is extremely lucky he didn't get shot. In fact, the guy with the CCW should probably be chastised for lack of situational awareness. What's the use of carrying a gun if you're not going to shoot some twit who physically assaults you?

If you look at the video, you can see the white guy just run up right behind him and grab him. Even super-duper situational awareness may not help you with that. (And another reason I won't OC until my new thumb-break holster arrives.) I mean, you're in Wal-Mart, so you expect people to be walking behind you, and all around you. Also, see Chris Kyle.

Besides mere "Battery," Foster should have been charged with "Malicious Do-Goodery."
WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

Yeah, they Baker Acted him. Which in FL is a 72 hr minimum hold because you are a threat to yourself or others.

The Baker act came between his bail hearing and his scheduled release. So he did or said something stupid in jail.

Does Mr. Baker Act have a facebook acct or other social media presence?  Might be interesting to peruse.

I think lee is referencing the tackler, not the law.
